Mixologist preparing wine float for PDX State of Mind (New York Sour) cocktail, next to bottles of Freeland Bourbon and Elk Cove Pinot Noir

PDX State of Mind (feat. Elk Cove Pinot Noir)

Ingredients:

2 oz Freeland Bourbon

1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice

3/4 oz simple syrup

1 egg white (optional)

1/2 oz Elk Cove Pinot Noir

 

Directions:

Add Freeland Bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white (optional) into a shaker with ice and shake hard until well-chilled.

 Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Slowly pour the pinot over the back of a bar spoon so that the wine floats on top of the drink.
